Two Tacos Enter, One Taco Leaves!
Nightly matchups at the Taqueria Throwdown
If you love tacos and want to stretch this #TacoTuesday through to Cinco de Mayo then you’ll be extremely happy to hear that Tequila Corralejo and Emporium Popups kicks off the Taqueria Throwdown tonight.
The Taqueria Throwdown is a five day pop up event—a tequila-filled, taco truck throwdown! Every day starting tonight, May 1st, through May 5th (Cinco de Mayo) from 6 PM to about 9 PM two tacos will battle it out for taco supremacy.
For each night’s battle you can purchase a ticket ($10) at the door which will get you one taco from each competitor that night and a Tequila Corralejo cocktail. You’ll also receive a token to drop in your favorite competitor’s jar. The votes will be tallied at the end of each night and the head-to-head winner of that night will be announced.
On Cinco de Mayo the four winning competitors from each night’s battle will find out who will be taking home the top three prizes & the title of grand taco champion!
