Free Cone Day is Here—Save the Bees and Eat Ice Cream

Häagen-Dazs® Free Cone Day is today—Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Did you know that in addition to helping pollinate over one-third of the world’s crops, honey bees also help in the creation of one-third of Häagen-Dazs ice cream flavors? Do you enjoy flavors like Strawberry, Rocky Road, or Mango? If so, then you should take a moment to consider the honey bee. That’s why Häagen-Dazs is using this Free Cone Day to bring much needed recognition to the humble honey bee.

When getting your free ice cream cone today at a participating Häagen-Dazs location, maybe choose one of the bee dependent flavors. While enjoying your cone browse the “Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees Initiative” page. Afterwards, consider making a donation to the Xerces Society, who has partnered with Häagen-Dazs, to help fund further research about bees and how to protect them.

You can search for a location near you using the Häagen-Dazs locator. Be sure to check with the location to ensure they are participating in Free Cone Day before you visit.

For full details see the Free Cone Day announcement on the Häagen-Dazs website.
